This master was none other than the enigmatic figure who ruled over Chili Valley, a place where every pepper was grown to perfection, Zedd was his name he owned a little business named San Jose Chili Co. I had always admired him from afar, lol, across the Valley. My own journey with chilies began with a small plot of land, a passion for heat, and a dream to learn the art of crafting the ultimate hot sauce. My days were spent nurturing plants, experimenting with blends, and smoking peppers to achieve that unique, smoky flavor that sets your sauces apart. One day, a festival was announced in Chili Valley, an event where growers and sauce makers from across the state could come together to celebrate the chili in all its glory. It was my chance to meet the Master, to learn from the legend, and perhaps, to earn a nod of approval from the one who had mastered the art of chili cultivation, smoking, and sauce crafting, I thought to myself. Was I worthy of the Master's time? I had heard he knew about me from my Chili Breeding of the Mojave Two-Step that I entered at the festival in hope to beating all the OGs of Hot Sauce, especially the Legend Zedd. The outcome was not what I dreamed of, but what I got was bigger than anything I would have wanted in the World of Chilis, a Mentor named Zedd, as he won with his Fresno Dragon. A quick note, there was the local Saturday Night throw-down where Spice Blenders, Sauce Crafters, and Farmers, went head to head down to the wire it was pure competition, and the sauce was judged for heat, flavor, flow & the 5 finger all around sauce. There was pairing your sauce with different Beers & Tequila, and Spice Blending, it took place at Zedd's, oh yea Zedd had 112 wins.
